When I was diagnosed with rectal cancer at thirty-eight, the world shifted instantly. My memoir traces the strange, disorienting terrain of treatment, fear, motherhood, identity, and the slow rebuilding of myself. An Ocean Between the Waves is both a personal account and an invitation: a way for patients, caregivers, families, and anyone navigating a difficult chapter to feel less alone inside it.
